I am originally from Norway, and have lived a total of 14 years in the United States. I graduated from Elon University in August of 2017 with a B.A. in Art after changing my major three times. Now I am on an adventure of artistic self-discovery in L.A., painting as much as I can, figuring out what kind of artist I am and what kind of art I am meant to create. As you may notice when looking through photos of my paintings and drawings, I explore self-portraiture quite a bit. The two main reasons for this is the accessibility and the comfort of not offending anyone or testing anyone's patience. It allows for much more freedom.
Interests (within art)
There are many areas of interest that I have explored, and many more I need to explore. My taste in anything is difficult to describe, because as of yet it is incredibly inconsistent.
It is important to me that my art says something. Although, I don't always plan what it ends up saying, and sometimes I don't know what it says or if it says anything at all. Needless to say, this page will be edited A LOT.
Definition of Bengaline: A fabric with a crosswise rib made from textile fibers (as rayon, nylon, cotton, or wool) often in combination.
- This is how I view my art. It is a combination of many things, just as I feel I am a combination of different cultures and places.
